I think this is a generalized fact, right?
By this, I mean that we have higher Emotional Quotients. We are able to assess others on a deeper level and be quite spot-on with our evaluations. This is our superpower: ‘Super Emotional Intelligence’
Girl: ‘You’re texting her because you want that reassurance that someone else wants you. You’re texting her because it gives you a boost.’
Guy: 'Obviously not, she’s just a friend and you know that! You’re being irrational.’
We know exactly what is going on in your head and you might not even be aware of it. This is where the superpower is. We know stuff and we’re cool that way.
Yes, we do get overly emotional and let it overshadow our rationality, we admit that. But that’s out superpower going on overdrive. We assess you just as harshly as we judge ourselves thanks to our Super Emotional Intelligence
This is particularly clear when it comes to ourselves. We get emotional when we feel we don’t look good enough or dwell on one comment for ages because it could be a snarky comment about our eyebrows. We have high Emotional Quotients, and that’s the result.
We just need you to say 'honey, I hear you but it’s not worth the brain battleships.’ You need to ubarm us of our superpower and give us a rest. Put our minds at ease and show us how great a normal life would be without the power of Super Emotional Intelligence.
We are emotional and we know it. It can be good and it can be destructive. Tell her to use her emotional intelligent superpower wisely because when it’s on a mode of no control, it can be deadly.
